SLC Associates was founded in July 1987 by the current Director of Operations, Stephen L Card, to provide a high quality Land and Building Surveying service to the design sectors of the construction industry.

The Company established a good reputation throughout the UK, undertaking contracts for several major Companies. The Company's success was, and remains, attributable to a firm commitment to quality.

In 1994, the Company's management decided to utilise the skills and experience of the workforce to offer a wider range of services in order to capitalise upon different market sectors. SLC Associates now provides, in addition to its Land and Building Surveys, other services including Geodetic and Local GPS Surveys, Aviation Support and Aerodrome Safeguarding, and GIS implementations.

In September 1997, SLC Associates were awarded ISO EN 9002 Accreditation under the QMS Scheme.

In April 2001, the Partnership of SLC Associates was incorportated as Geomatic Solutions Limited but maintained the very familiar trading name of SLC Associates
